More people are being evacuated as a wildfire spreads through Northern Saskatchewan.

People in Hall Lake with high risk chronic illnesses related to breathing are being evacuated.  They are asked to call or come to the band office and will be transported to Prince Albert this evening.

Officials are asking people who remain in the community to close windows and doors.  The Sally Ross School will be open for anyone who would like to go to an air-conditioned building.

In the previous evacuation, 61 people went to Prince Albert from Sikichew Lake and Clam Lake Bridge, others are staying with friends and family in Hall Lake and La Ronge.

An alert was sent out Saturday afternoon from the band chief’s office.

The notice states that several new fires started in the area Saturday morning as a result of lightning strikes.
