A 17-year-old youth accused of murder in Prince Albert was released on bail Wednesday.
The boy is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Johnathan Kasagan.
Kasagan was found by police Friday night in critical condition inside a home on the 800 block of River Street West. He was rushed to hospital but later pronounced dead.
Police said the incident was not random.
The teen charged turned himself in to police on Saturday.
He was released on bail under a number of conditions after a joint recommendation made by the Crown and the defence. A judge noted, despite the seriousness of the charge, a report on the youth found nothing but positive results.
The teen’s next court appearance is set for Feb. 26.
