The death of a 36-year-old man found in critical condition in a Prince Albert home Friday night is being treated as a homicide, police say.
Prince Albert police were responding to a weapons call at a residence on the 800 block of River Street West around 9 p.m. when they received a second call regarding an assault.
A 36-year-old man found by police and paramedics was severely injured. He was transported to hospital but later pronounced dead.
Two other people, a 33-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, were also assaulted but their injuries were not severe.
Few details have so far been released but police are treating the death as a homicide.
The police’s criminal investigation division, forensic evidence section and coroner’s office are involved in the investigation.
