Gift certificates for an apparently closed downtown Saskatoon restaurant are still being sold online.
CTV News was contacted Monday by a consumer who said he bought a gift certificate for Stacked Gourmet Burger Bar through Groupon only to find out the restaurant isn’t open. He said he tried calling Stacked but the phone was disconnected.
Gift certificates for the restaurant are still being sold through the Groupon website and the page says more than 500 people have so far purchased a Stacked gift certificate.
The number of those people who were able to use the gift cards before the apparent closure is still not clear.
Stacked’s lights were off and doors were locked Monday, and the restaurant’s phone was disconnected.
The consumer who contacted CTV says he’s worried he won’t get a refund.
