A man is facing second degree murder charges after an aggravated assault on Onion Lake First Nation.
RCMP say they were sent to Onion Lake First Nation Friday afternoon on the report of an injured man.
The man was airlifted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.
On Saturday morning, RCMP say the man succumbed to his injuries and died in hospital.
Following initial investigation, officers say they arrested a 29-year-old man, Louis Carson Pipe from Kehewin, Alberta, with aggravated assault.
Since the victim has died, Pipe is now being charged with second degree murder.
According to officials, the victim and Pipe are believed to have a family connection and police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
