Saskatoon police say the city’s 10th homicide victim of the year died of a gunshot wound.
Police released information on the cause of the death and the name of the victim, Dylan Edward Robert Phillips, on Thursday.
Phillips, 26, died late Oct. 14 after police responded to a report of an injured man at a home on the 1400 block of Avenue G North. He was located inside the house and died at the scene, according to police.
Officers initially thought he was the victim of an assault, but an autopsy found he died of a gunshot wound.
Major crimes officers are still investigating.
