Saskatoon emergency crews used a boat to rescue a man from the river Monday evening.
Saskatoon Police, Saskatoon Fire Department and paramedics were called after it was reported that a man had waded into the river to get some personal belongings, but grabbed onto a train bridge pier once he realized he was in danger.
The rescue boat was deployed, and the man was taken to shore uninjured.
