Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Kory Sheets is moving on to the NFL.
Sheets,a free agent who was the MVP of the Roughriders' Grey Cup championship after rushing for 197 yards against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, has signed with the Oakland Raiders.
Sheets, 28, spent the last two seasons with the Roughriders, compiling 2,875 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns in 31 games.
He was a CFL all-star in 2013 and finished second in the league in rushing yards with 1,598 behind only Jon Cornish of Calgary.
Sheets has previous NFL experience having suited up for two games with the Miami Dolphins during the 2009 season.
