John Flatters joined CTV Saskatoon in 2022 as a multimedia journalist.

Previously, he was the news/sports reporter for 100.1 Moose FM in Fort St. John, BC, where he covered a range of stories including the COVID-19 pandemic, local sports, municipal and federal elections, the Site C Dam and local profiles.

John graduated from the Radio, Television, Broadcast News program at SAIT in 2020 where he played on the Trojans men's hockey team following 8 years of retirement from competitive hockey and lacrosse.

In 2010, John got his first taste of broadcasting when he was a guest colour commentator for the Vancouver Giants of the WHL, and has since gained experience in all roles from play-by-play, in-rink announcing and live player interviews to game summaries and news articles.

John has interviewed Stanley Cup Champions, Hall of Fame coaches, Olympians, Paralympians and politicians.

He speaks English and French, and he is a stage 3 cancer survivor.
