After jaywalking and getting hit by a bus, a 56-year-old man was issued a ticket by the Saskatoon Police.

Police were called to the intersection of 1st Avenue and 23rd Street at approximately 9:00 p.m. Thursday where the man was struck by a city transit bus. The man was trying to cross the street against a red light.

The bus driver tried to stop to avoid the accident, but winter road conditions caused it to slide and collide with the jaywalking pedestrian.

The man was treated by MD ambulance and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
