Charlie Clark is officially Saskatoon’s next mayor.
The city released official civic election results late Friday morning, with Clark remaining ahead of incumbent candidate Don Atchison, newcomer Kelley Moore and fourth-place finisher Devon Hein.
The results remained unchanged from the unofficial results counted Wednesday. Clark, who spent 10 years on council before making a run at the mayor’s chair, earned nearly 41 per cent of the 80,012 mayoral ballots cast.
Atchison, who had been mayor since 2003, finished second with just below 37 per cent, while Moore, who at one point during the race was leading in the Maintstreet/Postmedia polls, grabbed about 22 per cent of the votes.
Hein finished with below one per cent.
The city council election results also remained unchanged.
Incumbents Darren Hill (Ward 1), Ann Iwanchuk (Ward 3), Troy Davies (Ward 4), Randy Donauer (Ward 5), Mairin Loewen (Ward 7) and Zach Jefferies (Ward 10) each won their respective wards. Newcomers Hilary Gough (Ward 2), Cynthia Block (Ward 6) and Sarina Gersher (Ward 8) won their races, and former councillor Bev Dubois took the Ward 9 battle.
Gough notably knocked off incumbent Pat Lorje.
Dubois, who served three terms as Ward 10 councillor before losing to Jefferies in 2012, defeated six other candidates.
Saskatoon’s city council and mayor are expected to be sworn in Monday, Oct. 31.
