A water main break near the University of Saskatchewan campus kept city crews busy and caused some traffic delays during Saskatoon’s morning commute Thursday.
Crews, with the help of road graders, spent the morning clearing ice and slush after the break on Osler Street. The break caused water to flow down McKinnon Avenue to where Elliott Street and University Drive meet, which left traffic slowed on University Drive.
Water was turned off for homes on the 1100 block of Osler Street, with city officials stating crews hoped to have the water back on within 24 hours.
