Caitrin Hodson joined CTV Saskatoon in August 2021 as a reporter for CTV Morning Live. Prior to that she was a writer and chase producer at CTV News Channel in Toronto where she covered everything from federal elections to the 2020 racial justice protests, the U.S. presidential election and the Olympics. She has a keen interest in social issues. As a singer, songwriter and musician, Caitrin also has a strong passion for the arts and specializes in interviewing musicians, actors and other artists. She has performed professionally as a musician in Calgary, Toronto, Nashville and Los Angeles.
Caitrin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Calgary before taking a corporate job in Toronto. In 2018 she made the decision to leave the corporate world for broadcast media, receiving a post-graduate certificate with honours in Journalism from Humber College.
Caitrin has strong ties to Saskatoon. Her father was born and raised here and she spent many of her childhood summers on the prairies with her grandparents.
She speaks English and understands/speaks conversational French.
