A suspect is in police custody after a 23-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in Saskatoon’s Westview neighbourhood Saturday.

Officers were called to a stabbing at a Westview Place apartment around 2:15 p.m., police said in a media release.

The victim was found by emergency crews in a nearby Mac’s parking lot at 33rd Street and Avenue W. He was transported to hospital with multiple wounds, police said.

At least six police cruisers scattered the area as officers investigated the incident. Several officers tracked through the apartments, checking garbage bins and rolling out police tape.

The suspect was arrested at a home on the 1300 block of Avenue P North, police confirmed.

The victim’s condition is not yet known, police said. Names have yet to be released.
