The provincial government is asking Saskatchewan residents to weigh in on marijuana legalization details that have been left up to provinces.

The federal legislation has left details like age limits, taxation and distribution of cannabis up to provinces.

"We want to take the time to listen to and consult with the people of this province to ensure we implement the parts of this legislation that are under our control in a way that works for Saskatchewan,” Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan said in a media release.

The anonymous survey can be taken online from Sept. 8 to Oct. 6.

The results are set to guide Saskatchewan’s approach to marijuana legalization.
