No deal was reached Wednesday following a long day of talks between Saskatoon and its bus drivers.

The Amalgamated Transit Union local 615 and the city spent the day meeting in a downtown hotel. The two are expected to meet again Thursday.

The city and the transit union had not talked since the city locked out 300 bus drivers and support staff on Sept. 20.

The union wants a 22.25 per cent wage increase over five years to bring its members up to what it says are average levels for other transit workers in Western Canada.

The city has offered 10 per cent over four years.
