RCMP say they’re not searching for suspects after the sudden deaths of a rural Saskatchewan couple.
The husband and wife — 60-year-old Donald Parkinson and 56-year-old Shirley Parkinson — were found deceased Wednesday evening on their property in the Round Valley rural municipality, about 15 kilometres northeast of Unity.
Police discovered their bodies after Shirley Parkinson’s co-workers reported she was missing Wednesday afternoon.
Her body was located inside an outbuilding on the property. Her husband’s was found outside after further police investigation.
Investigators are not seeking any suspects and police said there is no risk to public safety.
Autopsies have since been ordered.
The couple was not known to police.
Unity is located about 170 kilometres west of Saskatoon.
