Battlefords RCMP are investigating after video of a woman assaulting another woman was posted to social media. The video shows the suspect punching, kneeing and kicking the victim in the face in a seemingly unprovoked attack.
The assault occurred at a residence in North Battleford early Saturday morning. The 24-year-old woman who is believed to have filmed the assault has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 27, 2016, on an assault charge. The second suspect, 19-year-old Danielle Wuttunee, has been charged with assault. There is a warrant for her arrest, but she remains at large. The victim sustained minor injuries to her face and head.
