Two youth face a charge of assault with a weapon after incident at a Saskatoon elementary school on Wednesday

Police were called to Mayfair School at about 11:15 a.m. after staff and students reported that two students were firing shots from a BB gun at other students in the school.

No one was seriously injured.

A male and a female, both 13 years of age, face a number of charges as a result of the incident.

In an unrelated incident, police were called to Saskatoon French School at 1:22 pm on Thursday. Police were told a student had threatened other students, and mentioned a knife. The student was detained by school staff - however, no knife was found. Police say they do not expect to lay any charges.
