A woman who is among four people charged after the fatal shooting of a man in Saskatoon has been released on $500 bail.

Lauren Garand of Saskatoon is facing firearms-related charges in the May 21 death of Macdonald George, who moved from the Toronto area last year to seek work.

Garand was granted her release during a bail hearing Tuesday and will return to court June 20.

Three men -- Hamad Mohamed Farah, Zakaria Ahmad Mahamod and Shamsa Abdulkadir Noor -- face similar charges after a loaded handgun was found in a vehicle involved in the shooting.

Police believe George was trying to stop an assault when he was shot, but detective say they need more information from several witnesses who were in the area.

George's death has been classified as Saskatoon's third homicide of 2012.
