A major arrest in Edmonton in Edmonton has ties to Saskatoon. The Edmonton Police Service Vice Section detectives arrested three suspects and charged them with numerous offenses, including human trafficking and procuring juvenile prostitution.
It’s alleged that Ali Saghafi helped lure an underage Saskatoon woman to Edmonton for the purpose of prostitution.
Once in Edmonton, the girl was reportedly beaten, sexually assaulted, and forced into prostitution. Police were told the girl was held against her will before escaping and returning to Saskatoon.
Investigators believe other females may have been recruited online for prostitution in relation to this file.
