Surrey intersection closed due to fuel spill; drivers warned to expect delays

A busy intersection in Surrey was closed Wednesday afternoon due to a fuel spill.

Just after 3 p.m., the Surrey Police Service issued a statement urging people to avoid the intersection of 152 Street and 72 Avenue during the afternoon commute, warning people to expect significant delays due to the closure.

Crews with the Surrey Fire Service are expected to be on scene doing clean-up for at least two hours, according to police.
