A major merger is in the works involving a Saskatoon-based credit union.
Affinity Credit Union is part of a proposed merger with Estevan-based Spectra Credit Union and Advantage Credit Union of Melfort that would see the three organizations create into a single, province-wide credit union.
The merger plan has been approved by the boards of directors for all three credit unions but it must still be voted on by credit union members.
The vote will take place in early April.
