Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for a portion of southwestern Saskatchewan, including Kindersley, Rosetown, Martensville and Warman.

According to the weather agency, Doppler radar shows potential tornados approaching Springwater and Arelee. There is also a severe thunderstorm moving through the area at around 50 kilometres an hour.

Environment Canada says this is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Anyone in the area is encouraged to take cover in the lowest floor of a home and move away from walls and windows.
