With Canadian Country Music Week in full swing, thousands descended on Prairieland Park Saturday afternoon for a few tunes and to see a few stars.

FanFest showcased live performances by some of the biggest stars in the business. But even better what the chance for fans to meet their favourite musicians.

Dave, from popular band Doc Walker, says FanFest is a fun experience for the bands too. “It’s a relationship we have with our fans.  If we don’t keep up with our end of the bargain, and they don’t keep up their end of the bargain.  It's not going to work.  So it's reciprocal like that.”

Fans bought up t-shirts, cds, and other merchandise, all while chatting with the stars. After the event, everyone is ready for the big show on Sunday evening.
