A 14-year-old boy is facing several charges after a crash involving a stolen vehicle Monday night in North Battleford.
The vehicle was stolen from the 1400 block of 106th Street around 10 p.m. after it was left running in front of a residence, North Battleford RCMP said in a press release.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later on Territorial Drive. The suspect did not stop for police and ran both a stop sign and red light.
The suspect continued on Territorial Drive before losing control of the vehicle and hitting the ditch.
Police located the vehicle and suspect a short time later before arresting the youth. During their search of the youth, officers found property they believe is linked to other thefts.
The 15-year-old is charged with theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, and several Traffic Safety Act violations.
The teen's first court appearance was scheduled for Tuesday morning.
