RCMP are searching for three suspects in the death of a La Ronge restaurant owner.

Police released images Wednesday of suspects investigators believe were involved in the armed robbery of Louisiana’s Bar B Que and the assault and resulting death of owner Simon Grant in the northern Saskatchewan town.

The three, all believed to be male, entered the restaurant armed with two handguns and a baseball bat late Saturday night. They were in the business for less than five minutes, during which time Grant was assaulted and the restaurant was robbed, Mounties said in a media release.

The three were all wearing black, with their faces covered, according to police.

Officers were called to the restaurant just before 11 p.m. Grant was found seriously injured and was taken to La Ronge Hospital before being airlifted to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

He died Monday.

The 64-year-old’s widow told CTV her late husband’s organs are being donated. They will save six lives, she said.

Police are treating the death as a homicide.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen a vehicle or people leaving Louisiana’s Bar B Que between 10:45 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Saturday to contact RCMP.

The first suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark-coloured pants and was carrying a light-coloured baseball bat. His face was covered by a black balaclava, police said. The second suspect was carrying a gun and wore gloves, a black cap, black scarf, black hooded jacket, and black pants with white striping on the calves and the word “BLACK” printed across the front. The third person was carrying a black duffle bag and a gun, and wore a black balaclava, black long-sleeve sweatshirt and dark pants.
