Saskatoon police are asking the public for tips after a man was stabbed outside a 22nd Street business over the weekend.

According to police, a 30-year-old man exited a business in the 900 block of 22nd Street West on Saturday to find an unknown man striking his vehicle.

The 30-year-old confronted the man and ended up with a stab wound, later alerting police from a residence in the 400 block of Avenue I South.

Police say the victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 20s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing brown Timberland boots, cream-coloured pants with a black stripe, a cream or tan-coloured hoodie, a black jacket with the hood up and a hat on underneath. He was also seen carrying a small duffle bag.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Saskatoon police non-emergency line or Crime Stoppers.
