According to a release sent by Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) Saturday morning, one occupant of the house was treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. Arriving firefighters observed flames and smoke coming from the rear of the residence.

SFD says crews deployed a hose line to extinguish the fire from the exterior before advancing inside and completely extinguishing the blaze.

According to SFD, all occupants were safely evacuated from the home.

As of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, a fire investigator was on the scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

SFD says further information will be provided as it becomes available.
