This year's Exhibition attendance broke last summer's record of 221,154 people by 4,298.

Although the constant stream of sunshine played a huge part in these numbers, organizers say the entertainment line-up at the Grandstand Stage really drew in the crowds. This is the first time that all six nights of performances were free with admission.

Carl Schlosser is the event director at Prairieland Park. He says they're already planning for next year, and how to top 2012's success, "we do draw basically the attendance of the city populace, so you know when you get 220-plus-thousand people coming out with our population base you know, it's very supportive of the community."
