The Province of Manitoba is joining forces with Saskatchewan in funding clinical trials of the Liberation Treatment for MS.

Premiers of both provinces announced Tuesday afternoon that Manitoba will match Saskatchewan's commitment of $5 million to study the treatment.

Brad Wall, Premier of Saskatchewan, said in release that he welcomes the partnership with Manitoba. "Saskatchewan is committed to advancing the science in MS diagnosis and treatment," Wall

said. "We are pleased that Manitoba is proceeding with its own clinical trials, furthering efforts

to get answers for people who suffer from this devastating disease."

The Manitoba research will be done in that province and will follow Saskatchewan's research protocols. Saskatchewan was the first province to invest in clinical trials for the Liberation Treatment.

Further details of Saskatchewan's clinical trial are expected to be announced within the next couple of months.
