RCMP are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Riverbend instutution in Prince Albert. 

Police say 33 year old Sheldon Durocher escaped from the facility at about 8:30pm last night.  Authorities believe he may be headed to Meadow Lake where he is originally from. 

Durocher is described as:

Aboriginal Male

6'1", 275 lbs

Black coloured hair, Brown coloured eyes

Tattoo on left side of his neck.

Durocher is serving a 2 year, 26 day sentence for assault, use of force, break and enter with Intent along with several drug related charges.

The Correctional Service of Canada will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the escape and are working with Police in Prince Albert and the RCMP to locate Durocher as quickly as possible.
