Saskatoon police are now calling a missing person's case "suspicious."
Dorothy Ann Woods, a daycare operator and mother of two, hasn't been seen for a week. Concerned friends say they know something is wrong and have organized a search to find her.
Sandy Lukowich went out with Woods last Thursday. It was the last time anyone has seen her.
Lukowich says Woods is usually happy and upbeat, but that night she was different. Then when she called Woods on Saturday and got no answer she knew something was wrong. "She wasn't herself that night."
Police spokesperson Alyson Edwards says the police are investigating Wood's disappearance. "Our officers are calling this suspicious." They say Woods doesn't appear to be someone that would run away. She has two children and runs a day care.
Woods was also a member of the Saskatoon Roller Derby League. Her teammates are gathering Friday night to organize a search. They plan to search around her Riel Crescent home in the next couple of days.
