A 76-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition Friday night after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
Saskatoon police were called to the corner of 22nd Street East and 3rd Avenue North at 8:20 p.m.
A car travelling eastbound on 22nd was making a right turn onto 3rd when it struck the man.
The man was crossing 3rd Avenue on the crosswalk during a walk light.
The 38-year-old driver of the car was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian at an intersection.
