Two nurses who were fired for placing a crying baby in a supply closet will get their jobs back.

The incident happened at Royal University Hospital in August of 2008. The Saskatoon Health Region was notified of the incident by a grandmother of another patient in the pediatric ward.

A Queen's Bench judge ruled that neither woman acted improperly, and that the baby was not in danger.

The health region calls this is a challenging situation. -- the two nurses will return to the pediatric ward at RUH with their previous seniority and benefits.
