A teenage girl and an elderly man are in hospitals in Quebec after being struck by vehicles on a dangerous night for pedestrians.

A 67-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a truck on Wednesday night.

Montreal police (SPVM) said that the man was hit by a cube van around 6:30 p.m. at the Salaberry and Grenet streets intersection in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.

Police say the driver of the cube van, a 30-year-old man, was turning and struck the man who was sent to hospital with serious injuries.

Teen girl hit exiting school bus

A 14-year-old girl is in the hospital in stable condition after being hit in Contrecoeur, a city northeast of Montreal.

Richelieu-Saint-Laurent police say that the girl was leaving a school bus on Route-132 when the driver failed to stop when the bus’ stop lights were flashing.

The 75-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle was met by police officers.
