Saskatoon Police attended three motorcycle accidents in twelve hours on Saturday and Sunday.

The first happened just outside of the city in the southbound lane of Highway 11 at approximately 1:00 p.m., and involved a motorcycle and a Ford Focus. The female motorcycle was taken by MD Ambulance to the Royal University Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police were then called to another accident involving a motorcycle at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening. The 72-year old driver of a westbound vehicle was attempting to turn left onto 19th Street on to Avenue A when she collided with a motorcycle traveling east bound on 19th Street. The 33-year-old motorcyclist from Alberta was taken to hospital, but with non-life threatening injuries.

The third accident happened just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning when a 50-year-old Saskatoon man on a motorcycle was going west on 22nd Street. The collision occurred when a vehicle driven by a 55-year-old Saskatoon man going east on 22nd attempted to turn left onto Avenue p.

The driver of the car wasn’t injured, but the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
