A Regional Psychiatric Centre patient died in custody on Saturday, Correctional Service Canada said in a news release.
Benjamin Toutsaint, 32, had been serving a sentence of two years and four days for assault.
His next of kin have been notified and CSC will review the circumstances of his death, CSC said.
