An investigation is underway after a fatal accident at PotashCorp’s Allan potash mine southeast of Saskatoon on Monday.
RCMP said they were called to the scene of the accident at about 6:15 p.m.
A PotashCorp spokesperson told CTV News one person was killed in an incident that took place underground. First responders attended to the victim but were not able to resuscitate the individual
There is no word on what caused the accident.
The mine was shut down immediately after the death.
PotashCorp says it will be conducting an investigation.
