Saskatoon is saying goodbye to one of its oldest and most notable homes.

The 100-year-old Bethany Home in City Park is now a pile of rubble. The house, which was one of the oldest in Saskatoon, was taken down after the owner of the property could not find an affordable way to have the home moved.

The Bethany house was most notably owned by the Salvation Army and used as a home for troubled youth, until it was sold it to the current owner for around $1 million.
