An 89-year-old woman from Saskatoon missing since Thursday afternoon has been found dead, police said Saturday.

Kay Braget was last seen in the Wildwood neighbourhood around 1:00 p.m. Thursday. According to police, she showed early signs of dementia.

Police say several people called after noticing Braget’s vehicle on a partially constructed roadway northeast of the Evergreen neighbourhood. A canine unit discovered her body a short distance from her vehicle, police said in a media release.

The investigation is ongoing, but police say they don’t suspect foul play.
