A trial is expected to get underway today in Saskatoon for a man accused of killing a university student and burning her body.

Douglas Hales is charged with first-degree murder and indignity to human remains in the death of Daleen Bosse.

The 25-year-old aboriginal woman was last seen at a Saskatoon nightclub in May 2004 and her remains were discovered northeast of the city more than four years later.

Hales was to have gone to trial in October 2011 but he has fired and changed lawyers a number of times.

The trial is expected to last about one month.
