Coroner’s inquest into three people that died in LPS custody announced

The province has announced an inquest into the deaths of three people who died while in London police custody.

The provincially mandated proceedings will examine the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Amanda Bolt, Christopher Campbell and Fabian Hart.

All three died in the hospital during separate incidents.

Bolt, 28, died on November 13, 2019; Campbell, 55, died on October 11, 2018; and Hart, 34, died on February 2, 2021.

The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding the deaths, as well as possibly make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths in the future.

The inquest will begin on February 18, 2025 and will be held online. It’s scheduled to last 14 days and will hear testimony from around 20 witnesses.
