Ambulance and passenger vehicle collide, send three to hospital

A two vehicle collision in Adelaide Metcalfe sent three people to hospital this afternoon.

Just after 5:00 p.m., police say that they were called the the scene of a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an ambulance, just north of Second Street.

Two people from the ambulance were sent to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot, and officers located them nearby.

They were then placed under arrest and transported to hospital as a precaution.

Police say that there were no civilians present in the ambulance at the time of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
