Few details are available after human remains were found by a hunter in the R.M. of Montrose on Sunday.
Police were called to the Swanson district around noon. The RCMP major crimes and Saskatoon forensic identification units were also brought into the investigation.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted on Monday.
Swanson is about 68 kilometres south of Saskatoon.
