A Saskatoon homeowner had a rude awakening overnight when a car crashed into the home early Friday morning.

The crash happened at the corner of Adilman Drive and Russell Road just before 1:00 a.m.. Police say a 59-year-old male driver careened into the house after colliding with another car.

The occupants of the home woke up to the sound of the crash, but were not injured. The driver of the other vehicle, a 65-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver now faces a charge of impaired driving.
