Heavy afternoon rain flooded streets in Saskatoon on Tuesday.
Emergency crews responded to several flooded intersections, according to Saskatoon police.
Vehicles were stuck at some intersections because of the high waters, and city officials warned residents to avoid areas of localized flooding.
The city was under a severe thunderstorm warning from Environment Canada for a portion of the afternoon. Meteorologists were tracking a storm capable of producing strong wind gusts, pea- to dime-size and torrential rain, the warning read.
