Fire officials say a blaze at a vacant house on Saskatoon's west side is considered suspicious.

Firefighters were called just after 8 p.m. Monday to the 1900 block of 22nd Street West where they found smoke coming from the back of a house. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the blaze under control.

The back of the residence as well as the attic sustained damage, which is estimated at $25,000. No one was home at the time of the fire.
