The Irene Leslie Dube Centre for Mental Health will start accepting patients and visitors once again as of Friday.

The opening is only in the adult wings of the building. The facility has been dealing with an outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness that has been officially confirmed as norovirus since New Year’s Day.

Twelve clients and 19 employees were affected by the outbreak.

Since the closure on January 4, new admissions directed to the Royal University Hospital under and were cared for by the Mental Health and Addiction Services staff as well as other mental health inpatient units from across Saskatchewan.
