RCMP received a call about a road grader colliding with a eastbound CN train Thursday morning near Paynton. The driver of the northbound grader was killed in the collision.
The train was carrying crude oil, and several of the tankers and the locomotive derailed. There was spilled oil at the scene. CN rail is being assisted by the Maidstone Fire Department with containing the spilled oil.
The name of the driver has not been released.
RCMP said visibility was good at the time and their investigation is ongoing.
